What is word association solitaire?
It is a solo card puzzle that combines recognizing related words with managing which cards are available—a meeting point between category games and solitaire.
Start with categories and their members
A category names a shared idea, such as Flowers. Member cards might include Daisy, Rose and Tulip. Recognizing the connection is only half of the task because the cards are spread through a layered tableau and draw pile.
The solitaire part is card access
You can work only with exposed cards. Moving a valid card may uncover the word beneath it, while moving a related run together can preserve useful order. Limited category slots mean you also decide which groups to open first.
The goal is an organized board
Each category becomes a destination for its matching member cards. Completing the groups clears the deal. In Words Grove, the number of columns, pile heights and stock-to-tableau distribution vary so later boards do not simply repeat a uniform staircase.
